The Issue: No English Option in Essential Apps

Israel’s major health funds—Maccabi, Leumit, Kupat Holim, and others—have mobile apps that are essential for accessing vital services: appointments, lab results, prescriptions, claims, and more. Yet, many of these apps lack an English‑language option, limiting access for immigrants, tourists, retirees, and non‑Hebrew speakers.

The Embassy of Benevolence calls on health funds to:

  1. Add full English-language functionality to all apps immediately.

  2. Engage directly with users and testers from diverse linguistic communities to ensure clarity and usability.

  3. Promote inclusive communication across all digital and physical touchpoints—websites, helplines, and branch offices.
